The Grandmaster

The initial planning for "The Grandmaster" began in 2002. It's not
until 2009, filming on "The Grandmaster" started and consumed 22 months
over three years, ending last September (2012). Director Wong Kar-Wai came to see "The Grandmaster" as another way to examine how traditions are passed down, or sometimes lost, in an age when China is aggressively modernizing. |
